Alas...

I wrote a ton and alas, its gone....so here goes it...the abbreviated version revisited.

We arrived on an overnight flight with ease of getting to our quaint, trendy, chic hood of Palermo. Room not lista, we took to the streets in search of two important essentials 1. espresso 2. to fulfill my desire for empanadas (fulfilled at a little pasteria for 50 cents a piece with enough palatable meat, veggie, cheese and jamon flavors). Sara and I decided we could eat this way every day for a buck.

The B&B is very quaint. Our ceilings tall, with a candlelit trelis-lined bouganvilla courtyard complete with resident cat, Katy.

We wandered the streets hitting quite a few boutiques. An afternoon siesta for me, left Sara in a torrential down pour while head from the post office. Unlikely for this area and a shock to all... Now drenched, there is coffee waiting for her and I in the fourier (christ I just spelled that like fourier transform - I know who is laughing at me now back at their desks, remember you are at your desk - ha) before we embark on a later night dinner by American standards.

My high school Spanish of 20 years ago serves me well enough - it gets me the essentials -empenadas y espresso.

I posted some pics of the B&B jardin, kitty and yummy goodness . Until manana! Ciao!
